A GENESIS HOME – IT JUST WORKS
It may sound corny but Genesis Homes was borne out of a desire to build houses that quite simply ‘work’. Often house builders design their properties around a site, fitting in house types to gain as many plots to their best advantage. Genesis Homes take a site and plan what works on that site, ensuring ample space is given around, and inside our houses, but also ensuring there is open space for recreational and community enjoyment.
The founders and employees of the company have over 100 years of house building experience between them working for Barratt Homes, Story Homes, Persimmon Homes, Jones Homes, Lovell and Keepmoat. Managing Director Nicky Gordon himself has delivered over 5,000 plots for national and regional house builders, as well as having extensive ground works and civils experience.
The combined experience of our staff enables us to build properties that actually work as a home. The industry often has a poor reputation for building small, impersonal boxes; this is definitely not the case with a Genesis Home. The team has invested time and expertise into designing houses that have space both inside and out; houses that you can actually fit wardrobes into bedrooms, houses that offer BT fibre optic internet as standard (subject to area coverage) and, with an understanding of what the buyer wants, houses that look great externally too, incorporating the much coveted anthracite coloured windows and French doors.
‘A Genesis Home – it just works’ is our simple company ethos, nothing over the top or hard to understand; these words embody what we are trying to achieve (and judging by the sales at Wigton, we’re achieving!) It’s an ethos we know our clients find refreshing, after all a house move is believed to be one of the most stressful events in your life – we want to make it an enjoyable experience by building properties that work for you and your family. To make the experience less stressful, we endeavour to meet and exceed expectations in terms of customer care. As a small team, we can ensure that the house buying process from start to finish is managed carefully and professionally. We can put you in touch with mortgage advisers, give you details of house removal companies and generally ‘hold your hand’ through the whole house buying process. And if there are any tweaks needed after you move in (we expect there will be, as no house builder can build a house without an element of snagging) – we’ll quickly sort that too!
The Consumer Code for Home Builders was introduced in April 2010 by the house-building industry. It is there to make the home buying process fairer and more transparent for purchasers. Find out more at: www.consumercodeforhomebuilders.com
