Role Overview
We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly driven Construction Operations Coordinator to support the successful delivery of our construction function across multiple development sites.
This is a newly created role which reflects the increasing importance of construction programming, compliance coordination, quality assurance and operational control within a modern housebuilding environment.
The role will be head office based and will work closely with the Construction Department, Contracts Managers, Site Teams, Technical Department and Senior Leadership Team to ensure construction information, programming, compliance documentation and operational actions are coordinated effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting:
- On-time delivery of homes.
- Construction programming accuracy.
- Building control and warranty certification.
- Health & safety action monitoring.
- Operational reporting.
- Quality and best practice consistency.
- Departmental KPI monitoring.
This is not simply an administration role. We are seeking someone who is highly organised, detail focused and capable of proactively driving actions and maintaining operational momentum across a busy construction department.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Programming & Reporting
- Collate weekly construction progress updates from all development sites.
- Update and maintain company construction programmes using Asta Powerproject software.
- Review programme updates for accuracy, logic and completeness.
- Identify inconsistencies, delays, risks and programme drift.
- Prepare summary reports and action overviews for Contracts Managers and Directors.
- Assist in monitoring build targets, recovery plans and key delivery milestones.
Building Control & Warranty Coordination
- Coordinate plot-specific construction evidencing and certification information.
- Ensure all key stage inspection records and supporting information are obtained from site teams.
- Upload and manage information on relevant Building Control and Warranty Insurance portals.
- Coordinate SAP documentation and associated compliance information.
- Monitor outstanding approvals and proactively chase actions to support timely issue of final certificates.
- Assist in reducing delays to legal completions caused by certification issues.
Health & Safety Coordination
- Monitor monthly third-party safety audit reports and track close-out actions.
- Maintain action trackers and provide summary reports to management.
- Issue updated safety guidance and operational notices to site teams.
- Support consistency in safety communication and compliance monitoring.
Quality & Operational Support
- Assist in coordinating quality improvement initiatives and best practice guidance.
- Support monitoring of operational standards and construction consistency.
- Assist in preparing departmental KPI information and operational performance reporting.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, agendas, minutes and action trackers.
- Monitor progress against agreed operational actions between meetings.
General Construction Department Support
- Provide operational and coordination support to the Construction Department.
- Maintain organised and accurate construction records and reporting systems.
- Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of construction processes and systems.
- Support communication between site teams, head office departments and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Previous experience within construction, housebuilding or a related technical environment.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Confidence in managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Good IT and reporting skills including Microsoft Office packages.
- Experience with programming software such as Asta Powerproject would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience within housebuilding, construction coordination, technical administration, planning support or compliance management would be beneficial.

Head Office Based – Penrith, Cumbria
Package
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.
