We’re delighted to share that we are backing Workington Town Rugby League Football Club with season sponsorship of player, Josie Scrimgour. We’re extremely proud to support both our team and the wider community by backing local talent like Josie, who balances her role as Project Manager at Genesis Homes while playing for Workington Town RLFC.
Josie, who is Project Manager for Genesis Homes, plays a variety of positions in the backs line and has already scored four tries so far this season. After four years of playing Rugby Union, Josie joined Workington Town women’s first team earlier this year ready for her first full season in Rugby League.
Josie Scrimgour said: “I’m incredibly grateful to Genesis Homes for their support, it means a lot to have my workplace behind me. Playing for Workington Town is something I’m really passionate about, and knowing my employer is cheering me on both on and off the pitch gives me a real boost.”

Josie telling me that she was joining Town brought a huge amount of nostalgia having personally followed the club all over the country as a young lad with my dad, as the club went through its successful spell in the early to mid 90’s.
