Buying a new home is an incredibly exciting time, however, sometimes the buying journey can be complex. Here at Genesis Homes it’s our mission to make your experience as easy and informed as possible.
The Genesis Journey is here to help explain to you what you can expect from the point of enquiry, to moving into your Genesis Home. We have created three short videos to showcase the journey.*

Throughout the duration of stage one, we will provide you with all the relevant and detailed information needed to make the choice on which home is perfect for you. This will include information about the house type, plot, and development. You will have plenty of chances to visit the development site, which is the perfect opportunity to ask lots of questions, such as how you reserve, build time frames, and what’s included in the home.
Before you reserve your Genesis Home, it is important to have all of your finances in order, this will help with the buying process. If you require a mortgage, you will need to progress with your mortgage application. We can help put you in touch with an independent mortgage adviser. You will also need to appoint a solicitor, who will then take over the legal side, leaving you stress-free to plan the exciting things in your new home.
Once you make the exciting decision to reserve your Genesis Home, we’ll go through all of the plot details with you, such as the conveyance plan, kitchen layout, and boundary details. Depending on the stage of the build, you will have the chance to visit your newly reserved plot and pay your reservation fee. We will firm up anticipated moving-in dates closer to completion. This gives you a date to get everything ready and in place, so you are all set to move into your lovely, new home!
The next part of your journey is to book an appointment with us to discuss your new home choices. At this appointment, you will be able to make your selections for your new home and any upgrades to personalise your home. Please be aware, that the availability of the choices depends on the build stage.
The contracts which are prepared by your solicitor are exchanged with us and they are legally binding, confirming that everything is in place and going ahead!
Before you move in, a home demonstration takes place. The demo is given by your Site Manager and Sales Executive and it’s a great chance to get to know your new home and ask lots of questions. During stage 3 of your journey, our Customer Care team gets in touch to introduce themselves and give you access to our customer portal. They will be your point of contact once you receive your new home keys and will help in any way they can.
Legal completion takes place, and you receive your keys; this is an exciting day! Finally, you move in and
start enjoying your new Genesis home!
