On Thursday 19th March, we welcomed town and local authority councillors, local business owners and community ambassadors to a warm and engaging event at our Lunesdale Rise development in Kirkby Lonsdale, marking an important step in building strong relationships within the town.
Held under bright spring sunshine, the relaxed gathering offered guests the opportunity to meet Managing Director Nicky Gordon, Land Director John Blue, and Head of Communities & Engagement Lauren Allison. The purpose of the event was to introduce Genesis Homes’ vision for Lunesdale Rise and highlight our commitment to integrating positively and respectfully with the existing community.
Freshly baked pastries from the local Booths store and speciality coffee from Stable Coffee in Kendal set a welcoming tone as guests arrived and mingled. Attendees were invited to explore the development first-hand, including a tour of The Millfield, a three-bedroom, three‑storey show home, and a look inside The Dalton, a newly constructed three-bedroom detached property currently available for sale.
Conversations throughout the morning centred on collaboration, community priorities, and opportunities to work together as Lunesdale Rise continues to take shape. Guests left with luxury goody bags containing information about the community initiatives we are already supporting, reinforcing our long-term commitment to being an active and positive presence in the area.
Speaking after the event, our Managing Director, Nicky Gordon, said: “Lunesdale Rise is more than a collection of new homes – it’s an extension of an already thriving community. Bringing people together today allowed us to listen, learn and celebrate the start of what we hope will be many meaningful partnerships.”
