Seaton is set to come together this May Bank Holiday weekend for a feel-good celebration of live music, family fun and community fundraising, with two back-to-back events taking place at Seaton Village Hall.
On Saturday 2nd May, Seaton Fest 26 Family Fun Day will run from midday to 10pm, offering a full day of activities for all ages. With two stages of live music alongside a fun fair, face painting, bouncy castle, food stalls and a fully licensed bar, the event promises a lively and welcoming festival atmosphere for families.
Live performances include Take On Take That, Emus UK, Collision and Solomon on the main stage, with acoustic sets from Liam Moorhouse, Lee McT, Jodie Grainger and Jackson Acoustic.
Children can attend free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult, with adult tickets priced at £20.
The weekend continues on Sunday 3rd May with Still Standin’, an adults-only event running from midday to 10pm, offering a full day of live music and a great social atmosphere. The line up includes Jimmy Love as Elton John, The Dire Straights Project, Boomin and The Wannabes, with special guests The Sean Webster Band opening the day, alongside solo performances from Luke Matear, Sam Hasslewood, Mandi and Janette. Food and a bar will also be available.
The event supports two local charities, Nics Voices of Hope Support Group and the Arabella Kelly Charity, both of which help to make a real difference within the local community.
Andrew Burns of Brightside Events said: “We wanted to create something that really brings the community together; a fun, affordable family day on Saturday, followed by a brilliant adults-only music event on Sunday. Knowing the weekend is also supporting local charities makes it even more special.”
The event is proudly supported by headline sponsor Genesis Homes. Lauren Allison, Head of Communities & Engagement, said: “We’re delighted to be the headline sponsor of this year’s Seaton Fest. As our Derwent Rise development continues to take shape in Seaton, it’s important to us that we play an active role in the community. Supporting an event that brings local people together is a wonderful way for us to be part of the area’s vibrant community spirit.”
Together, the two events promise to bring a festival feel to the heart of Seaton, making it the perfect way to spend the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Tickets are available now via brightsideevents.co.uk or from Top Krusts Café in Seaton.
