Esteemed house building chief cuts ribbon at our new £250,000 office

THE boss of the country’s leading house building trade association cut the ribbon to officially unveil our impressive new £250,000 headquarters.

Neil Jefferson, the Managing Director of the Home Builders Federation (HBF), was our guest of honour as he opened our newly renovated, bespoke office space in the Cumbrian town of Penrith.

During the launch event, Neil congratulated our Chief Executive Officer Nicky Gordon and the wider team for our rapid growth since being founded in 2017, and said he was excited to see the future expansion of the business.

We are now one of the largest homebuilders across the North West in terms of new homes built each year, and are on track to achieve our target of constructing in excess of 170 new properties during the current financial year.

Neil said: “We face an acute housing crisis in this country and need a strong house building industry to tackle it. Local businesses play a key part in ensuring we can deliver the homes we need, and we welcome the strong foundations being put down here in Penrith.

“As a young company, the rate of growth and progress and the culture that has been put in place throughout the organisation is impressive.

“As well as delivering much needed homes for local people, SME builders play a vital role in local economies, supporting jobs directly and in the supply chain.

“We will continue to work with our members large and small to create an environment within which they can deliver the high quality, energy efficient new homes the country needs.”

The move to larger premises was prompted by us outgrowing the previous office in Penrith, leading to the investment in the major renovation and refurbishment of the two-storey, 6,000 square foot building on the town’s Gilwilly Industrial Estate to provide a spacious and modern office for our 60-strong workforce.

The building provides extra working space for employees, as well as additional meeting rooms and social spaces.

Moving into a new office which allows staff to work in such comfortable surroundings is a major milestone in our journey, and the feedback from the team about how happy they are with the new office space has been very pleasing.

The new HQ has had such a positive impact on business operations and the investment is a way of saying thank you to my wonderful team for working tirelessly and diligently to help us grow so significantly over the years.

To have somebody as well-respected and knowledgeable in the housing industry as Neil Jefferson make the trip up to us to celebrate this huge occasion in our business journey is amazing, and we thank him and the HBF for the ongoing support as we target further expansion.

The HBF is the leading trade association representing private sector homebuilders in England and Wales, with its members delivering around 80 per cent of new homes built each year.
