We are thrilled to be named as finalists in two categories at the prestigious North West Residential Property Awards 2024.
The annual awards ceremony, ran by Insider Media, celebrates the amazing achievements of the housebuilding sector across the entire North West region, and this year received a record number of entries.
Genesis Homes has been shortlisted in the Housebuilder of the Year Award for yet another record breaking year, and our excellent Eamont Chase development on the outskirts of Penrith has been nominated as Large Housing Development of the Year.
The company has enjoyed another excellent year of growth and has continued to expand operations throughout Cumbria and Lancashire. We are currently operational across seven developments, with work set to start on a further two.
By the end of the current financial year, we will have constructed more than 170 new homes, doubling the number we created in the previous year.
A particular highlight of our year has been the creation of a bespoke new £250,000 headquarters in Penrith which has significantly improved the comfort and happiness of our team members while at work.
Our Eamont Chase development has come in for particular praise from the Residential Awards judges. With the creation of a total of 82 high specification new homes, it represents one of the most ambitious and largest single developments since we were founded in 2016.
The development comprises our 10 most popular house types, and is addressing a housing need for local people as identified in the Eden District Council Local Plan.
The plots on this development have been snapped up in rapid time with the first phase of 55 homes being either sold or reserved within the space of a year, resulting in the early release of six new homes for January 2024 to cater for increased demand. We will also commence constructing 15 additional new homes in the coming weeks.
2023 has already been a year full of accolades after winning three awards at the Cowgills North West Homebuilder Awards and our Chief Executive Nicky being included in both the Insider North West Property Power List and 42 Under 42 list, so we hope we can continue the winning streak at upcoming ceremonies – starting with this week’s in-Cumbria Awards.
