Genesis Homes has officially broken ground at Edward’s View, our new development in Burgh-by-Sands. This marks the company’s fifth new site to commence in the past 12 months, highlighting our continued growth and commitment to providing much-needed, high specification homes across Cumbria and Lancashire.
Construction is now underway on this exclusive collection of just 27 premium quality new homes, five of which will be designated as affordable housing for local people. The development is set to officially launch this winter, with strong interest already registered.
Edward’s View builds on the success of The Orchards, one of our very first developments completed in the village in 2022, and is named in tribute to King Edward I, who died in Burgh-by-Sands in 1307.
The development includes a mix of two to five-bedroom houses and bungalows with modern design at the forefront and includes solar panels and EV charging points as standard. Perfectly located in a quaint village overlooking the Solway Firth while being close to historic Carlisle, Edward’s View provides the opportunity to be part of a new community.
The start on site follows closely behind our recent launch of Sandsfield Way in Carlisle, the first development in the area to navigate nutrient neutrality restrictions – a significant milestone for us as a business and the wider region’s housing delivery.
