We are excited to start construction on 99 new homes in the west Cumbrian village of Seaton after planning permission was approved by Cumberland Council.
Councillors gave the thumbs up to our Derwent Rise development, near Workington, which will see a wide variety of high-specification house types built, including 18 affordable homes ringfenced for local residents.
As part of the proposal, we will create an attenuation pond to provide extra drainage capacity in the village, as well as serving the development site.
The Derwent Rise development will consist of a range of homes to cater for a wide variety of needs within the community, including two, three, four and five-bedroomed homes as well as two and three-bedroomed bungalows.
It is important to us as a responsible housebuilder that we create much-needed, top quality new housing for communities across Cumbria, and we work with local organisations and residents to identify their particular needs.
Installing an attenuation pond as part of our upcoming project will help to alleviate flooding experienced elsewhere in the area, and will effectively serve the housing development sites.
Our Derwent Rise development in Seaton has been sensitively designed to complement the amazing character of the wider village, and we are pleased to be providing much-needed new homes to local residents.
