Work on our Stainburn site to start in March

Posted on: February 16, 2021

Farries Field in Stainburn is set to be our eighth scheme in Cumbria and follows the recent launch of our flagship development at Rheda.

This new project comprises of 81 new homes comprising of 2, 3 and 4-bed houses and 2 and 3-bed bungalows, just 1.5 miles from the coastal town of Workington and providing a truly intergenerational development. The finished scheme will include 4.5 acres of open space with play areas, wildflower meadows and planting. The COVID-19 pandemic has strengthened people’s desire to focus on their well-being and having access to outdoor spaces, plenty of natural light and views onto water or green space is said to have a major impact on improving wellbeing. Additionally, Farries Field offers homes with plenty of space around them.

John Blue, Land Director for Genesis Homes commented. “We look to provide an integrated focus to our schemes, incorporating a range of house types and styles that meet the needs of first-time buyers, families and those looking for a home on one level. Our developments foster a real sense of community and neighbourliness and become intergenerational spaces. Our design team have worked hard to ensure that Farries Field will be in-keeping with the history and character of the area and we look forward to delivering another successful scheme, working in partnership with the local council and contractors”.

Work is expected to commence in March, with an anticipated sales launch in July.
