Genesis Homes was delighted to host a vibrant community event at our Derwent Rise development in Seaton on Wednesday 17 June, bringing together a fantastic mix of councillors, local authority representatives, stakeholders, business owners, and community ambassadors.
The morning offered a valuable opportunity to deepen relationships, share progress, and highlight the positive impact of our ongoing work in the area. A charming independent coffee van kept everyone fuelled with barista coffees and homemade cakes, adding a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that encouraged conversation and connection.
Our Head of Communities & Engagement, Lauren Allison, and Land & Sales Director, John Blue, welcomed guests on site, guiding them through our newly opened show homes and taking time to discuss the development, answer questions, and explore new ways we can continue supporting the Seaton community. There was also the opportunity to take a short site tour with our Site Manager to see the homes under construction and guests left with a goody bag as a memento.
The conversations had reflected the heart of our approach: building high‑quality homes while also investing meaningfully in the places and people around them. Seaton has been a major focus of our community engagement efforts in recent months, and the event offered a chance to showcase some of the projects we’ve delivered so far.
