We’re proud to continue our commitment to creating thriving communities from day one, welcoming pupils from St Paul’s Junior School in Seaton to our Derwent Rise development for a hands-on morning of learning, discovery and community involvement.
The visit forms part of Genesis Homes’ wider programme of community engagement, designed to ensure local people feel connected to new neighbourhoods long before the first families move in.
The group enjoyed a memorable morning which included a guided tour of homes under construction, exploring different trades, and hearing about how machinery is used on site. The importance of site safety was also highlighted to the students during the visit, and they had a peek inside our recently opened show homes. As well as discovering how new homes take shape, the pupils were given the opportunity to leave their own mark on the development by planting flowers in the show home garden, creating a lasting reminder of their visit and their connection to a place that will soon become home to dozens of local families.
The visit marks the beginning of what Genesis Homes hopes will become a long-term partnership with St Paul’s Junior School, reflecting the company’s belief that successful developments are about much more than bricks and mortar. Through future classroom sessions, site visits, donated materials and educational activities, the homebuilder aims to support local young people while strengthening connections with the wider Seaton community.
